The Company Theatre Presents Free Performing Arts Workshops at ACT Studio One Open House

Voice, improv, dance and acting workshops introduce fall arts education opportunities

The Academy of the Company Theatre’s (ACT) Studio One youth and adult small group performing arts programs present a fall semester ACT Studio One Open House on Tuesday, September 1, from 4 to 7 pm at The Company Theatre Center for the Performing Arts, 30 Accord Park Drive, Norwell. The event is free and open to the public.

ACT Studio One offers voice, acting, movement and music education year-round for youth and adults alike. The ACT Studio One Open House welcomes the public to drop in and meet their staff and faculty, explore free classes for all ages through performing arts workshops, and participate in parent orientation at their beautiful studios. Attendees are welcome to attend any or all workshops, regardless of skill or experience.

Registration is now open for ACT Studio One fall 2015 semester programs. Classes run for 16 weeks, beginning the week of September 14 through December 14. All students have the opportunity to participate in performances and demonstrations at biannual Studio One Showcase presentations, scheduled for December 14 this winter.

ACT Studio One’s mission is to build confidence in the performing arts through ability in a creative, safe and supportive environment, motivating self-expression through progressive training to children, teens and adults. A faculty of established teacher/artists educate, nurture and encourage proper technical development in voice, acting, movement and music, leading students to confident, positive experiences.

Founded in 2013 as an extension of The Academy of The Company Theatre, ACT Studio One programs offer education geared towards refining skills in the arts, giving students a process to guide them towards excellence in performance.
