The Company Theatre Presents Seasonal Classic Musical White Christmas

Roger and Hammerstein's classic adaptation of the Irving Berlin film favorite hits the theatrical stage

The award-winning Company Theatre presents Roger and Hammerstein’s White Christmas the musical, November 28 through December 21, at The Company Theatre Centre for the Arts, 30 Accord Park Drive, Norwell. White Christmas music and lyrics are by Irving Berlin, based on the Paramount Pictures film written by Norman Krasna, Norman Panama and Melvin Frank, with book by David Ives and Paul Blake. The production will be directed by Zoe Bradford and Jordie Saucerman, choreographed by Sally Forrest, with music direction by Michael Joseph.

Based on the beloved timeless film, this heartwarming musical adaptation features songs and characters that evoke nostalgia for a traditional holiday filled with family, friends, and frosty snow. With romance in mind, a pair of suave singing and dancing WWII veterans team up with a lovely singing sister duo, en route to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge. The gentlemen are surprised to discover the lodge is owned by their retired General and is in danger of closing. When the snow never arrives, and neither does an audience, the quartet pull out all the stops to save the lodge and the holidays. Both children and adults adore this song and dance filled spectacle, with treasured standards including “Blue Skies”, “I Love A Piano”, “How Deep Is the Ocean” and the perennial favorite, “White Christmas”.

White Christmas features an all-star cast, including regional favorites appearing in the 4 leading roles, with John King as “Bob”, Kelly Hines as “Betty”, Andrew McMath as “Phil”, and Emilee Dennis Leahy as “Judy”.
