Downtown Hingham To Be Transformed Into International Festival
This Saturday's International Festival in Hingham Square will feature native dancing and performances, exhibits, shopping, and foods from around the globe.
Su Escuela Language Academy will transform Downtown Hingham into an international festival with native dancing, performances and foods from around the globe.
The second Annual South Shore International Festival will celebrate culture, education and diversity this Saturday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Colleen Burke, a media spokeswoman for Su Escuela said the festival will feature native dancing and performances, exhibits, shopping, and foods from around the globe. Children will also be available to travel from “country to country” to get special passports stamped to become a citizen of the world.
Michael Stack, executive director of the Downtown Hingham Association said the upcoming event is really the only event that brings diverse citizens together to celebrate and connect in friendship.
“We’re really excited about all the features at this festival from world-class international music and dancing to kids’ activities, shopping, and great food,” Stack said in a written statement. “There’s something for everyone to enjoy.”

Sandra Baldeon, Founder and Director of Su Escuela Language Academy said the event is a way to bring people together.
“People of the South Shore crave culture and diversity and cherish the opportunity to learn about the many people of the world,” she said. “This celebration captures their love for people, travel, and community. It will be a day to remember and a festival that will continue to grow each year.”
