Election Candidates Praise One Hingham Community for High Voter Turnout
Political candidates were invited to Linden Ponds on Tuesday to meet and greet residents.
Local candidates visited Linden Ponds on Tuesday and praised the senior living community for their voter turnout percentage.
US-Rep Stephen Lynch, D-Boston, the Democratic candidate who will run for congress in November said Linden Ponds is a “voter rich community” and expects the residents to come to the polls on Election Day on November 6.
Lynch and the other candidates invited to Linden Ponds on Tuesday know that the senior living community has polling booths right on its campus.

Davis, a Democrat from Norwell who looks to unseat the incumbent State Senator Robert Hedlund said she has studied the areas of the Plymouth Norfolk district that have the strongest voter turnout and Linden Ponds is one of them.
For her, Tuesday’s visit to the senior living community was important as she got to share her views on Health Care with residents.
Democrats Lynch and Davis along with their Republican opponents Joseph Selvaggi (R-Boston) and Hedlund (R-Weymouth) were all invited by the Linden Ponds Political Interest Committee.
“We want to know who they are,” said the committee chairman Marty Saunders. “We understand the importance of Government and we all have some interest in what’s going on throughout the World.
Earlier this year, Linden Ponds was also visited by US Senate Candidates Scott Brown and Elizabeth Warren.
Linden Pods has over 1,000 registered voters, about 380 are registered Democrats, 180 are Republicans and 580 are Independent.
Editor's Note: Republican candidates were not interviewed for this piece as they were not present at the "meet and greet" from 1-2 p.m.
