The Hingham Public Library hosts An Afternoon with Louisa May Alcott on Saturday, October 1st, from 3 to 4:30pm, in the Whiton Room. Jan Turnquist performs this wondrous one-woman show as she becomes Ms. Alcott and talks about some of the issues of her day, friendships with Thoreau and Emerson and her writing.
