Classical Guitar Duo to performa at the Hingham Public Library

Mark and Beverly Davis will present a free classical guitar performance at the Hingham Public Library on Saturday, April 23 at 3 pm. This is the finale of the 2010-2011 Boston Classical Guitar Society/Hingham Public Library Saturday Sounds Special Series season. The Library’s performances are open to all and seating is on a first arrival basis.
Mark and Beverly Davis have performed together since 2001. Their repertoire consists of pieces chosen for musical interest and emotional depth, drawing from the international repertoire for two guitars, including traditional songs of the British Isles, pieces from the Spanish tradition by Halfter and Soler, and contemporary compositions. Most recently they have added mandolin and guitar duets from the French, Brazilian and American traditions.

The duo has performed in concerts throughout New England, Germany, Portugal, Spain and Australia.
