
Experience all the fun offered at a free celebration of the arts!
South Shore Conservatory hosts a free Family Arts Festival on Saturday, September 8, from 10 am – 12 noon. Open to the public, this event welcomes area families to spend time together exploring music, theater and dance at South Shore Conservatory, One Conservatory Drive, Hingham.
The festival kicks off with a free interactive family concert followed by an open house introducing the Conservatory’s many early childhood SSCreativeseeds programs.

Children ages 3 to 10 use their “Arts Passport” to travel through a variety of activities which include:
- Creative Movement/SmARTy Dance Sampler

- Suzuki Method Demonstrations
- Dramatic Theater Games
- Instrument Petting Zoo
Admission to all activities is free of charge. Families are welcome to tour the facility, meet faculty and staff, and learn more about the broad range of programs offered for children of all ages.

South Shore Conservatory, recently recognized as a national model for arts education by the National Guild for Community Arts Education, is celebrating more than 40 years of enriching the lives of South Shore residents through music and the arts. SSC was founded as a not-for-profit community music school in 1970 and now has two beautiful campuses in Hingham and Duxbury. Currently serving more than 2,500 students from the South Shore from ages 9 months to 90 years, SSC is the largest community school for the arts in New England.
