For the commonly known things we are familiar with about China such as acupuncture, Taoism, I-Ching, Chinese medicine, silk, the compass, etc., ever wonder about the origin of these things? All this originated from China’s legendary period called the Three Sovereigns and five Emperors within China’s first 800 years of history. Not only that, this period formed the basis of a divine culture that China was to inherit for another 4,000 years until the advent of Communism.
The essence of traditional Chinese culture is rather unique and profound, a great lost of cultural heritage if it were to perish. But will this culture survive pass current totalitarian rule? This is what some overseas ex-pats are concern about and putting forth an effort to revive and preserve.
