Faith and Film: Good Morning Vietnam 9/18/14 at 6:30 PM
For the fifth year we will explore aspects of faith, spirituality, courage, love, evil, forgiveness, & redemption through the lens of film.

We invite you to a light supper including dessert, wine, coffee and tea that will be provided during the film. SHOW TIME BEGINS PROMPTLY AT 6:30 P.M. Please come early enough to serve yourself dinner and get seated before the show begins. Discussion will follow.
All films are shown on Thursday evenings in the Abbey Conference Center. Glastonbury Abbey holds the appropriate movie site license to show all films. Donations are gratefully accepted. No registration required.

It is 1965 when Adrian Cronauer (Robin Williams) is assigned to take over AFR’s Saigon radio broadcasts - with great stylistic contrast to the dull, by-rote announces who have preceded him. He is blunt and a bundle of dynamite, heralding each broadcast with a loud “Gooood Morning, Vietnaaaam!” There is humor, pathos of war and truth. Do you recall where this time in history took us? What have we learned?
