Faith & Film, with supper, "A Man for All Seasons"

Thursday, December 10, supper at 5:45 pm, film starts promptly at 6:30 pm - free! All are welcome!

Sir Thomas More puts his life on the line when he opposes King Henry VIII’s break with Rome in order to divorce the Queen to marry Ann Boleyn. We may all know the story of More’s courage and moral fiber. However, this classic film, featuring most notable actors (including Paul Scofield, Wendy Hiller, and Orson Welles), offers a striking contrast of the same historic figures portrayed in Hillary Mantel’s recent publication (and PBS series),Wolf Hall.

Film will be followed by a discussion session facilitated by Judy Dwyer, M.A. Judy was a faculty member in the Department of Psychology at Emmanuel College for 25 years.
