Members of the community were able to watch Game 7 of the Stanley Cup at Carlson Field.

Families congregated at Carlson Field last night to watch the Boston Bruins play the Vancouver Canucks in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup.

Blankets, chairs and pizza boxes covered the field, while spectators watched the game on two screens that were set up. The general feelings from the crowd were positive towards the Bruin’s chances at taking the Stanley Cup this year.

Bonnard Fage, organizer of the evening’s event said that his favorite thing about the Bruins is when they win. He also said their chances of winning Game 7 were high.

Bandera and Macdonald both cited the Bruin’s defensive players as a strong asset to the team.

“I think if they score early they’ll win,” said spectator Paul Carty.

Siofra Carty said she hoped the Bruins win, but she would still be a fan even if they didn’t. Siofra also said she was confident Michael Ryder would play well.

“He’s my favorite,” Siofra said.

Sinead Carty had her sights set on another player.

“Kelly’s going to score the winning goal,” she said.

The Boston Bruins won the game 4-0 and have captured their first Stanley Cup Title since 1972.
