Foster Elementary School PTO Receives National Honor
Foster's honorable mention was based in particular on the hard work and tremendous success of the PTO's Green Committee.

PTO Today magazine has awarded the Foster Elementary School PTO Honorable Mention in its 2013 Parent Group of the Year Search.
The contest was open to approximately 80,000 parent groups throughout the United States, and the Foster PTO was one of only 6 parent organizations in Massachusetts to receive recognition.
Foster's honorable mention was based in particular on the hard work and tremendous success of the PTO's Green Committee, led by Allison Baird and Bridget Carroll, which in a mere two years, has taken the Foster community from low levels of reuse and recycling to local and national recognition for the school's commitment to sustainable curricula and school operations.
Accepting the award on behalf of the Foster Elementary School PTO were its 2012-13 officers, Julie Quinlivan, president, Lynn Barclay, vice-president, Melanie Cataldo, secretary, and Val Robin, treasurer.
A complete list of the award recipients and more details about the winners appear in the September issue of PTO Today Magazine, and are online at http://www.ptotoday.com/pgy/winners.html.
