Get Out This Memorial Day Weekend

A look at some fun events for the long weekend.

Story Time: Get out this Friday as will hold a children’s story hour today at 10:30 a.m. “Shark vs. Train” by Chris Barton will be read.

Miniature Golf: Get out and play some mini golf in Hingham.  The Shipyard Links Mini Golf will be open on Saturdays and Sundays only, starting May 26.  After June 25, it will stay open daily. On Saturdays and Sundays, the hours are 12-8 p.m. Cost is $6.00 for ages 12 and up and $4.00 for children under the age of 12.

Book Signing: Get out and meet the voice of the Boston Red Sox, Jo Castiglione.  The long time Red Sox radio broadcaster will be signing copies of his new book on Saturday at the in Hingham. Castiglione will meet and greet with his fans from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and sign copies of his new book "Can you Believe It?"

Memorial Day Observance: Get out Monday for Hingham’s Memorial Day observance at Hingham Commons at 11 a.m.  Colonel Frank Curtis, a Commanding Officer of the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 95th Division, will be today's guest speaker.  Curtis, is a Braintree native who once commanded the Army's 432nd Civil Affairs Battalion in Baghad, Iraq.
