Get Out This Presidents Day Weekend

A list of five things to do this weekend in Hingham.

1)  New Living Area For House Hunters

Get out this weekend and check out the newest area to live in Hingham.  On Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m Home Center Sotheby’s International Realty will be showing the first model home on their newest living area Derby Brook.  The new living area is located at 304 Whiting Street, Hingham.

2) Snug Music

Get out this weekend for some live entertainment at the Snug.  Musician John Foster will perform Friday at 9:30 p.m. and Dillon & Reed will perform Saturday night at the same time.

3) President’s Day Sales 

Get out this weekend and shop.  Stores like J.Jill at the Derby Street Shoppes are offering President’s Day sales. J. Jill will offer 40 percent off sale items and 15 percent off all full-priced styles in store.

4)  Music and Wine

Get out  this weekend for some live music in Tosca’s wine room. Passions Band with Susan Jeffrey will play Caribbean style music on Friday at 8:30 p.m. followed by Lynn Jolicouer & The Pulse on Saturday at 8 p.m.

5) Old Ship Coffeehouse Performance 

Get out for another live musical performance at Old Ship Coffeehouse off the Square.  This month’s concert will feature the band, Tripping Lily , described as “a string band with pop sensibilities or a cutting-edge vocal quartet with acoustic instruments.”  Admission to the concert is $12. The concert begins at 8 p.m. at the Old Ship Parish House on Main Street.
