St. Patrick's Day Fundraiser

Get out this weekend for a St. Patrick’s Day party. The Choral Art Society of the South Shore will on Saturday at the Hingham Son’s of Italy from 6:00-10:00 p.m. to raise money for their scholarships and concerts. The fundraiser, titled "Celtic Cabaret" will feature a corned beef and cabbage dinner with homemade Irish soda bread, a cash bar,  along with live entertainment from Celtic K’s who will perform an Irish Sing Along.

Tickets are $30 in advance and are available from chorus members, at Buttonwood Books in Cohasset and at The Front Street Bookshop in Scituate.  Tickets are also $35 at the door.  You can also purchase tickets online at www.choralartsociety.org. For more information call 781-925-6095.

Nona’s Birthday

Get out for party.  The Hingham Square shop will be selling $1 ice cream cups and cones in celebration of their 11^th anniversary in Hingham and the opening of their in Scituate Harbor.  The ice cream party runs from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Royal Cheese Fest

Get out this Saturday for a cheese fest at the Hingham at the Derby Street Shoppes. Whole Foods  will hold their  Royal Cheese Fest at 3 p.m.  Customers are invited to sample a variety of different cheeses throughout the store, all for free.

Olympic Gold Medalist Book Signing

Get out and meet 1992 Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. the in Hingham as she signs copies of her new children’s book.

Free Healthy Eating Class

Get out and learn how to eat healthy at the on Saturday. The Fruit Center’s nutrition education partner, Nikki Tierney (Registered Dietitian and co-owner of A Healthy Balance in Quincy), will be at the Hingham store to help customers with all  of their nutrition and dieting questions. No need to make an appointment, customers are being asked to simply drop by from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Su Escuela Open House

Get out this weekend and enroll your children in Spanish-speaking classes at in Hingham.  On Thursday, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. the Hingham academy will have an Open House with student performance, tours and classroom observations. Get out with your kids for story time at the Barnes & Noble at the Tiger's Adventures by Nick Butterworth  will be read at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at the bookstore.

Live Music at Tosca

Get out for live entertainment in  Danny Gallagher will perform on Friday and Geoff Hicks on Saturday.  Each performance begins at 8 p.m.
