Get Out This Weekend: July 8-10

Sample some new wines, help out the HHS Crew team, visit a working farm, and listen to music.

Open Barnyard at Weir River Farm 

Get out with the kids on Saturday to Weir River Farm for their open barnyard day. Meet the animals, check out the gardens and watch the hustle and bustle of a working farm from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Afterwards, take a hike along one of the many trails that connects to adjacent Whitney and Thayer woods. Weir River Farm is located on Turkey Hill Lane and this event is free for members of the Trustees of Reservations or $3 to non-members. Call 781-740-7233 for more information.

Bring your Cans and Bottles to HHS Crew

Get out Saturday and support the Hingham High School Crew Team by donating your cans and bottles to be recycled. The can and bottle drive will be held at the HHS front parking lot on Union Street from 8:30 to 11 a.m.

Friday Nite Lites at South Shore Conservatory 

Get out to the South Shore Conservatory of Music tonight for their Friday Night Lites series. Self-procalimed "ultimate party band" Superchief Trio will start playing their good-time music at 7 p.m. at the Conservatory, One Conservatory Drive.  Tickets are $10 each. Sample New Wines

Get out to The Fresh Market in the Hingham Shipyard on Route 3A all this weekend for free wine tastings. Today, sampling will run from 3 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday, from 1 to 5 p.m. Take advantage of the ten percent discount with the purchase of a dozen bottles, mix and match.
