Get Out this weekend for a free family concert this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the    Rick's "I Like To Read" library program features songs about books, reading and going to the library. It also includes appearances by Rick's singing animal puppets, Henry the Horse, Quackleberry Duck, and features lots of movement, humor, and singing along. This program is fun for the whole family, and is designed to encourage children to read, and to become more familiar with their public libraries. Get Out this weekend and learn how to find a job by attending the Wisdom Works program at the Hingham Senior Center located at the .   The seminar will teach job seekers how to identify their skills, update their resume, and preparing for interviews.  Wisdom Works is facilitated by trained volunteers, many of whom have Human Resource and related backgrounds.  The event  is offered at the Hingham Senior Center from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday.  Interested individuals should contact Barbara Farnsworth at the Senior Center, 781-741-1458.  The cost of this program is $5.00 and payable on the first day of class.

Get out this weekend and meet Author and local at the at the Derby Street Shoppes on Saturday at 3 p.m.  White, who is the  chef and owner of the Summer Shack in Hingham will sign copies of his new book, “The Summer Shack Cookbook: The Complete Guide to Shore Food.”

 Artisans in the Square

Get Out this weekend and spend your Friday evening with the on  South Street. First Fridays with Artisans in the Square is an opportunity to meet artisans, see their work and have some light refreshments.  This event takes place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the first Friday of every month.  Also this weekend,  Page Railsback and 10 other local artists invite you to join them outside of White Magdelena House, 60 South Street, where they will paint and sketch, chat, and offer their artwork for sale.  Refreshments will be served indoors.  Other Participating artists include Joan Brancale, Nancy Colella, Lisa Daria Kennedy, and Jeanne MacFarland. Beer Fest

Get out this weekend and head to the 4th annual American Craft Beer Fest (ACBF) in Boston.  This is the east coast's largest celebration of American beer, featuring over 100 American brewers and over 500 beers.  The event will take place from Friday to Sunday at the Seaport World Trade Center on 200 Seaport Blvd in Boston. Tickets are $45 per session and include: entry into one session, access to over 500 craft beers, all 2oz beer tastings, compostable tasting cup, and fest guide.
