Get Out This Weekend: October 20-23
There are lots of Halloween events for kids this weekend, along with a free concert and the Hingham Arts Walk.
Arts Walk
Get out to the 5th annual Hingham Arts Walk this Sunday from 12p.m. to 4p.m. Visitors to Downtown Hingham will enjoy art everywhere – art in the shops, on the sidewalks, in historic places, and through live music & dance. Over 80 artists, musicians, and performers will display their talents in open studios, special exhibits, and performances throughout the day. Haunted Hayrides
Get out to the Derby Street Shoppes this weekend for some scary rides. Starting Thursday night and going until Sunday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. the Derby Shoppes will offer haunted rides at the Hidden Pond behind the Whole Foods Market. Hidden Pond will be transformed for the event with Halloween characters and a haunted house. Visitors will be enthralled as they are whisked around Hidden Pond during the haunted rides. The rides will be good fun for all the family so get into the spirit of Halloween and enjoy some spooky festivities at Hidden Pond.
Guitarist to Perform at Library
Get out this weekend at the library. Classical guitarist William Riley will present a free solo performance on Saturday at 3 p.m.

Sinatra Thursdays
Get out tonight and enjoy some at the Derby Street Shoppes. Live Frank Sinatra music will be played in the bar area from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Pumpkin Fun Run
Get out this weekend and run. There will be a Pumpkin Fun Run at 11 a.m. Sunday, starting at the Derby Street Shoppes to support the Rotary of Hingham & Hull. You can register in advance for the race: http://rotaryspumpkinfunrun.eventbrite.com/

Pumpkin Decorating
Get out this weekend and decorate some pumpkins at the Marketplace from 11 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. F children and families are invited to paint pumpkins while enjoying the Fruit Center’s tastiest hot dogs, hot apple cider and goodies. On Saturday, October 22 there will be pumpkin carving outside Market. The time of this event has not been announced. The Derby Street Shoppes will also have pumpkin decorating from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Gallery Talk with Ted Charron
Get out and learn about local art. The invites the public to a free gallery talk with Dolphin Gallery artist this Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Charron will talk about the paintings and drawings on display this month and answer questions about his career.
Author Meet and Greet
Connecticut author and active mother of four, will bring her children's book "A Quest for Good Manners," to the bookstore on Friday at 3:30 p.m. She will sign copies of the book and read it aloud.
