Great Escape: Live Music in Tosca's Wine Room

Each week Hingham Patch will be bringing you an idea for you to enjoy some much needed time away from the kids. With just 14 tables inside the intimate setting, the room can accommodate up to 100 guests.

“We have done live entertainment in the wine room for the past 15 years on Friday and Saturday nights,” said Chris Sugrue of Eat Well, Inc. “We do variations of different music types. It started off as a classic jazz duo or trio with background music but now guests are enjoying the full music.”

The best part about the experience just might be that there is no cover charge for admission.

“It’s an extension of the dining room so we offer the full menu inside the wine room,” Sugrue said. “We don’t take reservations here so it’s on a first come first served basis. I think when the evening initially starts out, it’s more of a dining room feel to it with people ordering dinner during the early half of the night but then it turns into a cocktail lounge and by the end of the night, it’s a real upbeat tempo.”

You never know what you may find here at the wine room on any given weekend night. The music ranges from blues and jazz to Latin-infused soul. The wine room is open from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. with live entertainment but the room opens at 6 p.m. for dinner.
