Grenbush Trains Continue To Run On-Time
The commuter rail trains have continued to arrive at the West Hingham and Nantasket Junction stations on-time.

While the MBTA continues to hold hearings about their proposed service cuts, the Hingham Greenbush Line has continued to run efficiently.
In January, the Massachusetts Bay Commuter Railroad recorded a 93 percent on-time percentage for the Greenbush commuter line.
This marks the second consecutive month MBCR reached strong service benchmarks of 92.8 percent or better at the West Hingham and Nantasket Junction stations.

The MBCR are crediting the lack of blizzards and freezing conditions with their ability to be so efficient, however, MBCR media spokeswoman Andrea Wheeler said the train system is confidence that it will keep up the service even if Hingham does experience winter conditions/
Wheeler said the MBCR has purchased $500,000 worth of snow removal equipment, and increased collaborations with communities to keep road salt away from railroad crossings.

Hugh J. Kiley Jr., MBCR General Manager said the MBCR will continue to focus on its locomotive reliability.
“The continued success reflects the strong partnership between MBCR and MBTA railroad operations, but by no means are we satisfied with the status quo,” Kiley Jr. said. “With winter upon us, it is critically important that we continue preparations to provide the best service possible for our customers regardless of the conditions.”
