Harborwomen Crush Middleboro in the Water

Several Harborwomen stepped up for Hingham to defeat Middleboro 91-53 while the boys team didn't experience the same luck.

The Hingham girls swim team defeated Middleboro earlier this month 91-53.

The Hingham girls swept the 200 meter individual medley as Hingham junior Louisa Brady finished first followed by senior captain Caroline Winter in second and freshman Maggie Finney in third.

The Harborwomen also swept the 500 free swim. Sophomore Meaghan Menesale finished in first behind classmate Mackenzie Millerd in second and freshman Maddie Stimson in third.

Junior Chrissy Coveney finished first in the 50 Fr with an impressive time of 29.80 seconds and Tori Baldassini  finished first in the 100 meter Breast as only a freshman.

Sophomore Swimmer Katie Kelleher made the Sectional Cut in the 100 meter Back with a time of  1:08.98.

Three Harbormen Earn Personal Best Times, Fall to Middleboro

The Hingham boys swim team didn’t experience the same fortune as the  girls against Middleboro on January 5.  The Harbormen fell to their division foes 89-74 but did see an impressive performance by freshman TJ Winter.  Winter finished first in the 100 meter Fly with a personal best time of 1:08.46.

Sophomore  Colin Loughlin also swam well, placing second in 100 meter Free with a personal best time of 58.70.

Senior Captain Andrew Ide also finished ahead of all Middleboro swimmers in the 100 meter with a personal best time of 1:10.94
