Hedlund Fires Back at Conspiracist

Hedlund responds to a rumor that accused him of fixing last Thursday's Democratic Primary Elections.

During on Tuesday, State Senator Bob Hedlund took no offense to one reader who asked if he was part of fixing last Thursday’s Democratic Primary Elections.

The reader asked Hedlund:

“Is there any truth to the rumor that you worked behind the scenes to ensure a Genevieve Davis victory? I hear Steve May was the candidate to beat you and had significant establishment backing.”

Without any hesitance, Hedlund was eager to respond with a humorous answer:

“How can that be? When two former Democratic State Party Chairpersons (Phil Johnston and Joan Menard) endorsed Davis? Evidently I am quite powerful "behind the scenes" in manipulating 75% of the Democrats to go vote for her. Put your tin foil hat back on.”

There is no evidence that the elction was "fixed." 

Hedlund was referring to elections results which proved that in 7 of 8  Plymouth Norfolk County towns with the exception of May’s hometown of Hull.  compared with May who received 27 percent. 

he does not know much about Davis but does look forward to debating her leading up to the Election of November 6.
