HHS Girls Crew to Row at Nationals
State Champion Hingham High School girls crew boat have qualified to row at Nationals in Florida. They need help raising necessary funds.

The 2015 State Champion Hingham High School Girls Varsity One (V1) 8+ boat has qualified to compete at the National Rowing Championships in Sarasota, Florida from June 10-14.
The 9-member crew and an alternate need support to fund their travel and lodging expenses to Florida, which are expected to cost $13,000.
The team can be seen around town trying to raise funds including holding a successful car wash last Saturday. Upcoming fundraising efforts include canning at the Hingham Shipyard commuter boat on Friday, June 5 from 4:00 – 7:00PM. They will also be at several locations on Saturday, June 6 from 7:30AM – 12:00NOON including:

- Gulf Gas Station & Dunkin’ Donuts on Route 3A / Lincoln Street (across from Starbucks)
- Tedeschi’s and Hingham Post Office on Route 53 / Whiting Street
- Dunkin’ Donuts on Route 53 / Whiting Street close to Derby Street Shoppes
“We are hoping to secure some corporate sponsors or large donors willing to help these exceptional athletes compete on a national level,” stated president of the HHSRA board, Paul Neat. “We’d like to see their attention on training, where it should be, so they can perform up to their potential. All help is greatly appreciated.”
