The property had previously been under review for a potential 177-unit residential rental development.
Laura Burns, Chairman of the Board of Selectmen believes this purchase is consistent with the Town’s long term plan to develop the South Shore Industrial Park area as a commercial tax base and to address wastewater needs in that area of Town, according to a written statement released by the selectmen last month.
