Hingham Senior Posts Double Double Against Weymouth, With the help of Senior Co-captain Taylor Potter's double-double on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the Harborwomen slipped past Weymouth, 44-36, winning their fifth game in a row. Potter scored 19 points to go along with 10 rebounds to defeat their Hingham neighbor.. The Harborwomen also got help from freshman guard Sierra Irvin who scored 13 points in the victory. Hingham is on 5-game win streak and 6-1 in their last 7 games. Tonight they will battle cross town rivals at at 6:30 p.m. Welch Reaches Double Figures, Leads Hingham Past Hanover Last Friday Hingham defeated Hanover 44-34 with the help of sophomore Haleigh Welch's  team high 11 points.  Senior Co-Captain Katharine Alger contributed 9 points while fellow captain Potter added 8 points in the victory. Hingham Freshman Lifts Harborwomen Past Rockland Last Wednesday,  Jan. 11 it was Hingham's freshman guard Sierra Irvin who scored a game high 20 points, helping the Harborwomen knock off Rockland, 49-37.   Hingham trailed Rockland at halftime 21-20, but the Harborwomen did not quit. Hingham captains Potter and Alger each had big games.  Potter scored 14 points while Alger scored 9 points in the Hingham victory. Hingham Holds Pembroke Scoreless in the Third Quarter, Wins 56-20 On Jan 10, Hingham destroyed Pembroke 56-20.  The Harborwomen outplayed their South Shore opponent from the start , outscoring them 17-7 in the first quarter and 32-12 by halftime.  Hingham's defense was relentless as they held Pembroke scoreless in the third quarter.  In the win, Irvin scored 11 points while center Maggie McGonagle,  Potter and forward Katie Landry each chipped in with 8pts.

The girls varsity team had won 6 of their last 7 games heading into tonight's game against Notre Dame Academy.
