Hingham Man Busted For Drunk Driving and Marijuana

Police found a Hingham man over the weekend with over $3,000 in drug money.

A 20-year-old Hingham man tried to evade police on Saturday night, but could not escape an arrest.

Stephen J. Conte, 20 of 4 Pilgrim Road, Hingham crashed his car into a snow bank on High Street at 8:45 p.m. right in front of an officer, police said. He then turned off onto a side street in an attempt to hide from the officer, police said.

When Officer James Foss finally pulled him over on Ward Street,  he said Conte appeared confused, smelt strongly of alcohol, had partially closed red, glassy eyes, and was unsteady on his feet.
