The Hingham Newcomers will hold an open skate in Weymouth this Saturday for all Hingham families. The Hingham Newcomers Club, which was established over 50 years ago to help build a strong community among neighbors, is looking to provide families with a fun February Vacation event. Interested families are invited to the "Family Ice Skate" at Connell Memorial Rink on Saturday, February 25 from 4-5 p.m.  Sara Abbott of Hingham Newcomers said  ice skates will be available for rent on a first come, first serve basis, and skaters are welcomed to wear their own figure or hockey skates.  Abbott also encourages skaters to wear helmets, but they are not required. Tickets for the family skate are $5 per person or $20 per family and may be purchased in advance online at <a href="http://www.hinghamnewcomers.com/" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">www.hinghamnewcomers.com</a>. The money raised from this event will go into the Newcomers' general fund and help various local charities and other non-profits throughout the year.
