Repairs to the town office's phone lines have been completed as of 10:15 a.m. on Monday morning, according to Hingham police. Residents can now dial in to the Hingham Police Department, Fire Department, and any of the schools without any issues. Yesterday, the town experienced issues with the phone services, which remained down into Monday morning. The service was down due to a failure of the main phone system processor at Town Hall, according to East School Principal Tony Keady who notified parents on Monday morning by email.
