Hingham Police Give Outgoing Chief Final Sendoff

Evidence that the department was going to miss the retiring Chief Michael Peraino could be seen at his car Thursday afternoon.

Before Police Chief Michael Peraino could start his retirement, some “evidence” was discovered that his department was going to miss him.

On Thursday, the Hingham police wrapped the now retired chief’s car in yellow crime scene tape, a final show of appreciation from the local officers.

“Some ‘evidence’ we’re really going to miss Chief Peraino. His cruiser this afternoon on his last day,” the department tweeted.
