Hingham Police Investigating East Street Break-in

The Hingham Police Department is investigating a home break-in at an East Street house that occurred during the day Monday. Police say the suspect entered through an unlocked rear door.
The resident at the home reported the break-in that evening and were home for several hours before they realized items had been stolen.

Jewelry was missing from the bedrooms according to police. The homeowner also found dirt/mud tracked on the inside stairs and on the bedroom rug that had not been present when they left.
While homeowners are still compiling a list of items stolen, it appears only jewelry was taken.

The house break occurred between 10 a.m. and 5:10 p.m.
