Hingham Police Chief Michael Peraino tied  white robbons onto the police cruisers this week in support of Massachusetts's 6th annual White Ribbon Day. White Ribbon Day is a campaign to help end violence against women, including domestic violence, sexual assault or sexual harassment. The campaign asks men of all ages to serve as an example and <a href="http://whiteribbonday.janedoe.org/" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank"> take the pledge</a> that states "From this day forward, I promise to be part of the solution in ending violence against women". The ribbons will hang all day Thursday from the Hingham Police vehicles.
