Hingham Residents Excited About The Fourth of July Parade

Fourth of July weekend in Hingham offers many events for celebration.

Fourth of July in Hingham offers a variety of events for residents to celebrate.

This year is no different with fireworks, a parade, road race and more planned for Hingham’s community.

“We are here for the whole weekend,” said Tamara Shape, Hingham resident for nine years.

According to Shape, she and her family watch the parade at a friend’s house each year. It is their favorite event of the weekend. They also go to the fireworks, and Shape will run in the Hingham Recreation Commission  Monday morning.

The parade is not just a favorite event for Shape it's enjoyed by residents of all ages especially 14-year-old Marina Fleites who enjoys hanging out with her friends on the morning of July 4th.

Her father, Gus Fleites, who has lived in Hingham for about 25 years, said his family will not be in town for the majority of the Fourth of July weekend, however they will make it back for the start of the , which lit up the Harbor on Saturday.
