Hingham’s South School Appoints New Assistant Principal
Third grade teacher hired as new assistant principal at South Elementary.

South School named Lori Jacobs their new assistant principal for next year.
Jacobs is currently a third grade teacher at South School with 20 years experience in education. She has also served as a Teacher Leader at the elementary school for four years.
Jacobs has her Master's Degree and C.A.G.S. in School Administration and has her certification in Elementary 1-6 as well as Principal/Assistant Principal.

Before being hired by South Elementary, she taught at three different grade levels in three different states including the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota, according to principal Mary Eastwood.
The South School has been sharing Assistant Principal Jen Lowe with Foster School for the past four years. In September, Lowe will become a fulltime Assistant Principal at Foster.

“ She has done an amazing job running between the two schools taking care of the needs of over a thousand families and many staff members in both buildings,” Eastwood said in an email to parents. “We will miss Jen in September …”
Jacobs and Lowe will begin their new roles in September.
