East School Psychologist Jennifer Milia announced her departure from the Hingham elementary school last month after working in town for the past five years.
She will take the same position for the Boston Public Schools in the Fall.
“As difficult as it will be to leave the people in Hingham, I am excited for the new professional opportunities this change will bring,” Milia said in an email to East School parents.

“I have enjoyed working with you as parents, whether it was in meetings, consultation, resources, or just a passing ‘hello’ in the hallways when you came in for the various school activities. Thank you for creating an environment that puts such value on learning--whether it is academic learning, social learning, athletic learning, creative learning, or the many combinations thereof.”
