Hingham School Trades TV Time For Hobbies
Hingham students will showcase their hobbies tonight at the East School.

Students at East Elementary have turned off their TVs in exchange for engaging in other interests and talents.
Tonight the Hingham elementary school will hold their annual Hobby Night and students will get the chance to showcase their favorite things to do outside of the school community.
Amanda Cease of the Hingham Recreation Department said the event is held as part of the Turn Off the TV/Screen Week initiative.

“Whether it be a rock collection, lego building, horseback riding trophies or even playing with dolls.. As long as it doesn't involve a TV/video game/electronics screen, we're excited to foster and encourage their enthusiasm with this wonderful event,” Cease said in an email to Patch.
Hobby Night is Thursday, March 21 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the East School.
