Hingham Schools Announce Two Hour Delay For Election Day
Hingham High School and Middle School students will be given a two-hour delay on April 30.

The Hingham High School and Middle School announced this week that they will hold a two-hour delay on the upcoming election day.
On Tuesday, April 30, Hingham will hold their annual Town Election along with the special primary for the US Senate seat.
The delay was scheduled because Hingham residents will be voting at both the high school and middle school.

“To help with the parking and the crowds, both the high school and middle school will delay their openings by two hours,” HHS principal Paula Girouard-McCann said in an email.
Milddle School principal Roggie Boddie said the delay will provide a safer passing time for students as many residents vote in the morning, when students are normally arriving at school.
