Hingham Teen Helps Business Find Missing Sheep
A 13-year-old Hingham Middle School student used Instagram to help find the Aisling Gallery's missing sheep sculptures.
When Kerry Adams found out that Aisling Gallery owner Maureen Connolly was missing her two sheep sculptures, she knew her 13-year-old daughter could help find them.
“I just knew that she would find the sheep,” Adams said. “And she did, within minutes, using Instagram.”
Her daughter, Zelda Adams, a Hingham Middle School 8th grader was at first reluctant to reach out to friends asking who knew the whereabouts of the missing sheep. She said her parents asked her to use social media, and when she did, she received many responses.

On Friday, Zelda's mother had stopped by Aisling Gallery for some artwork and suggested that the owner offer a cash reward for the lawn sculptures.
Minutes after seeing Zelda’s post, her middle school classmate, who asked not to be identied, said he knew where they were. The classmate returned the sheep to the Aisling Gallery on Friday and received the reward.
He had stolen them back from his older brother’s friend, according to Zelda and her mother.
Kerry gave her daughter a $10 reward for her “great networking skills and desire to seek justice.” She quickly contacted the Aisling Gallery and said the owners were overjoyed to hear the news.
Zelda was just as happy.
“It made me feel a lot better hearing someone knew where they were,” she said. “I was just really surprised.”
Connolly said the sculptures were stolen during the early morning of June 20. She said a neighbor spotted local teens carrying the sculptures away and tried to stop them.
The sculptures are valued at $375 each.
