For Hingham resident Gil Nelson, Memorial Day isn’t about beaches, baseball, beer and barbecues.
The World War II Veteran hopes people take time on Memorial Day Monday to think about the freedom our country has and think about the fallen heroes who had sacrificed their lives for America.
“Think about the expression, ‘think not what your country can do for you, but think about what you can do for your country’.. and above all think about the benefits we have as being Americans,” Nelson said.
