Hingham Veterans' Council Holds Workshop For First Responders

The program will discuss the psychological and social stressors endured by service members.

The Town of Hingham will hold a first responders workshop for families and friends and soldiers returning home from service.

Keith Jermyn, the Hingham Veterans’ Services Director said the program is deigned to bring awareness of the needs of Veterans returning from conflicts, and how municipalities can and should be getting ready to deal with their unique issues. 

The program will discuss the psychological and social stressors endured by service members.

 “Specifically, our premise is to provide a training platform for first responders— providing them awareness of the issues that our returning Veterans are facing, and how intervention at all levels is paramount,” Jermyn said in a press statement.

The featured speaker will be Kevin Lambert, Director of Special Programs for the Massachusetts Department of Veterans’ Services.

The workshop will be held Tuesday, Feb 12 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
