Hingham, MA -- In recognition of what would have been Frank Sinatra's 100th birthday on December 12, Linden Ponds celebrated his birthday with a "A Sinatra Christmas." Hundreds of people who live at Linden Ponds attended the concert led by conductor and Linden Ponds resident Nalora Steele. The Linden Ponds Singers, made up of more than 50 residents, performed many of Frank Sinatra's hits along with holiday classics. "We all grew up listening to Frank Sinatra's music," said Steele. "We celebrated and honored his birthday by singing many of his classics and what a turnout we had! Hundreds of Linden Ponds residents attended our concert and sang along with us. It was a wonderful event."Everyone performing wore a Frank Sinatra Fedora Style hat and Linden Ponds residents sang along while enjoying eggnog and cookies.Specific Frank Sinatra celebrations have been planned at a number of Erickson Living communities.Linden Ponds is one of 18 continuing care retirement communities managed by Erickson Living. Linden Ponds is situated on a scenic 108-acre campus in Hingham, MA. The vibrant campus opened in October 2004 and is home to 1200 people who are enjoying life to the fullest.
