International Fashion Show at Linden Ponds

Linden Ponds' African American and Friends Group hosted an International Fashion Show last Thursday at the Linden Ponds campus.

The event was started a few years ago by Leroy and Marian Jenkins who wanted people to know that Linden Ponds is a diverse community with people from all different backgrounds. 

For Marian Jenkins,  starting the African American and Friends Group group has allowed residents  to celebrate their background and share it with others.

Thursday's Fashion Show features both residents and staff  members who modeled clothes from more than 10 countries from their heritage and places they have visited.  The Linden Ponds crochet club also showcased some of the hats they have made.

 Linden Ponds, located off Whiting Street, is a full-service continuing care retirement community situated on a scenic 108-acre campus in Hingham, Massachusetts. The vibrant campus opened in October 2004, and is home to 1,200 seniors who are enjoying life to the fullest. Erickson Living is the developer and manager of Linden Ponds.
