Kristi Yamaguchi Is Coming to Hingham

The Olympic gold medalist will be signing her new book at the Hingham Barnes & Noble on March 8.

Olympic gold ice skater Kristi Yamaguchi will be in Hingham on March 8 to sign copies of her new book at the at

Yamaguchi will read and sign copies of her book, “It's a Big World, Little Pig!” at 7 p.m.

Teresa White, the Barnes & Noble community relations manager said she expects over a hundred people to attend the former Olympic figure skater’s book signing.

White recommends guest to come early to avoid the long lines  which will begin to form at 6 p.m. 

Yamaguchi’s new book will be  available to purchase  at Barnes & Noble for $10.97. “It's a Big World, Little Pig!” is  a children story about a skating pig who will compete in the World Games ice-skating championship in Paris. It is a  sequel to her book, "Dream Big, Little Pig," which was number 2 on the New York Times bestseller list in 2011.

Yamaguchi, age 40,  won the Olympic gold medal in ladies singles skating in 1992 and also won the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in 1992. In December 2005, she was inducted into the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame and in 2008 she appeared on the his show, Dancing with the Stars.
