Lapels Dry Cleaning tabs David Grippi as director of operations

Lapels Dry Cleaning, an innovative, environmentally friendly dry cleaning company headquartered in Hanover, Massachusetts, recently named David Grippi as its new director of operations.
In this role, Grippi will provide support to current Lapels Dry Cleaning franchise owners, train new Lapels Dry Cleaning store owners and create a standardized Lapels Production and Operations standards based on industry best practices.
“We have been very patient in recruiting this position to add to our corporate team. This is a very important position for us in bringing the Lapels business model to the next level,” said Kevin Dubois, CEO of Lapels Dry Cleaning. “David will not only assist our Franchise Owners in quality, brand standards, productivity and of course profitability – but will also help us in making a change in the day to day operations of an 11 billion dollar industry that has suffered from a lack of consistent systems.”

Adds Dubois, “David has the perfect balance between intelligence, patience and fortitude to make this change with us.”
Grippi is a third generation dry cleaner with more than 20 years in the dry cleaning industry in a variety of operational, management and sales roles. During his career, he’s held several of those positions with Dependable Cleaners. He’s also worked for Seitz Chemical and The Cleanist dry cleaners in Plymouth, Mass.

“If you had to consolidate all my experiences and create a position that best utilizes those experiences, this position with Lapels would be it,” said Grippi. “The way they go about their business, their operations and procedures and the company’s legitimate commitment to greener processes are all things I’ve been looking for in an opportunity and I can’t wait to get started.”
A lifelong resident of Quincy, Grippi lives in the city with his wife Kerri and their two daughters, Kayla and Paige.
