Linden Ponds Artists Create Portraits of 20th Century Movie Stars
Artists Unveiled 27 Portraits of Movie Stars

Hingham, MA – For the past few years, artists at Linden Ponds celebrated the many Presidents of the United States with The Linden Ponds Hall of Presidents Exhibition.
This year, residents Burt Longenbach and members of his water color painting decided to create charcoal drawings of 27 movie stars including Katherine Hepburn, Marlon Brando, Fred Astaire, Clark Gable, Charlie Chaplin, Joan Crawford, Elizabeth Taylor (18 in by 24 in) and two 6ft by 8ft watercolor portraits of Shirley Temple and Judy Garland.
“Last year was the 3rd year the Hall of Presidents Exhibition had been on display at Linden Ponds,” said Molly Lynch St. John, Community Services Manager, Linden Ponds. “When the show ended last year, Burt and the group had already begun talking about this year’s show and knew they wanted to create portraits of movie stars. The residents have worked for the past year on these pieces of art and the Linden Ponds residents will love what has been created by their neighbors.”
