Linden Ponds Celebrates 104th Birthday of the Girl Scouts

Hingham, MA -- More than 40 people who live at Linden Ponds came together to celebrate 104 years of the Girl Scouts!

Residents shared stories and celebrated the wonderful experiences they had in the Girl Scouts.

Sara SaintOurs, who lives at Linden Ponds, joined the Girl Scouts in 1950 as a child, she then later on became a Troop Leader and eventually served on the Board of Directors. See attached photo.

“I still have my original Girl Scout Sash, original Girl Scout Manual, Brownie Pins and photos from the many exciting adventures I took,” said SaintOurs. “Being a Girl Scout was a very meaningful experience. What I learned was extremely valuable in raising my children and in my professional career. I have been a Girl Scout for 66 years and cherish all the memories.”

Local Girl Scouts from Hingham also attended the event.
