Low Voter Turnout So Far in Hingham

Only 3 percent of Hingham registered voters from Precincts 1-4 have filled out a ballot as of 11:30 a.m. and the numbers are not expected to get much higher.

The polls for Presidential Primary have been open since 7 a.m. this morning in Hingham, but there has been a low voter turnout.

As of 11:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, Hingham Town Clerk Eileen McCracken said there has only been about a 3 percent voter turnout at the Hingham High School polling location where she has been working this morning.

McCracken said in past elections, voters would have to wait in line to vote, but today they have walked in and out with no delays.
