Middle School Project Reimbursement Rate Set by MSBA
Estimated Cost to Hingham could be under $35.6 million
Estimated figures for the Middle School Project are becoming more concrete after the Massachusetts School Building Authority advised the School Building Committee that the reimbursement rate applied to the project will be 43.87 percent.
This will mean that out of an estimated total project budget of $61,749,189, the net cost to taxpayers could be $35,587,012 which includes the $2,113,500 on items that will not be reimbursed by the MSBA.
These figures will now be included in the Warrant Article that has been drafted in anticipation of the Special Town Meeting that will be decided upon by Selectmen at the meeting on September 6. The total project cost will be inserted and the article contains language with regard to the reimbursement rate reflecting the net cost to taxpayers.
