National Grid to Install Gas Mains on Hingham Roads
Work is anticipated to begin on within the next few weeks and will be staggered throughout the summer.

On Thursday, the Board of Selectmen approved the National Grid to install and maintain gas mains on several locations in the town during the summer months.
Work is anticipated to begin on Foley Beach Road, Kimball Beach Road, Marion Street, Merill Street, Talbot Road, Cottage Street and Ship Street within the next few weeks and will be staggered throughout the summer.
A petition for a Grant of Location on Fairview Street, Colby Street and Leonard Street was delayed following a request from some residents to be given the option to purchase gas from National Grid as their homes are not currently supplied. This will be reconsidered at the next Selectmen's meeting on June 14, following discussions between the residents and the utility company.
