Navy, Bare Cove Park To Have One Big Birthday Party in Hingham
The party will take place Saturday at 9 a.m.

The US Navy will celebrate its 236 anniversary in Hingham on Saturday at the Dock House in Bare Cove Park.
Patti Coyle Vice-Chair of the Bare Cove Park, who organized the event said there will be Color Guard presented by personnel from Navy Operational Support Center in Quincy along with refreshments for guests starting at 9 a.m. As part of the celebration, the Hingham Naval Ammunition Depot Memorabilia Display will be on display at the Dock House for the last time this year from 9 a.m. to noon.
Along with the Navy’s birthday, Coyle said Bare Cove Park Committee will be celebrating the Park's 37th birthday on Saturday. Bare Cove Park first opened to the public on October 27th, 1974.

Families who are looking to learn about the Naval history should come to the event as it is free. Guests will also be served birthday cake.
