Hingham Middle School’s construction costs totaled about $60 million to provide the school with the latest classroom technology.

The teaching spaces can support 60 wireless devices at a time and featured technology includes SMART Boards, document cameras and projectors, Smith said.

“One of the most impressive features of the new school is the Distance Learning Theater,” he said.

The theater is a 90-foot, lecture-style room furnished with video conference equipment that allows teachers and students to communicate with people from all over the globe.

Representatives from the school’s staff, students, the School Committee and School Building Committee will be available to answer questions or comments about the school.

The tours were organized by the Hingham School Committee, the School Building Committee and the School Department.
